Chef Amy Ferguson ★★★★★ When Only The Best Will Do.
Raves & Reviews
"HIDDEN away in a Safeway shopping mall, this is the best food we've found on the islands. The owner, Amy Ferguson, is on site, and the preparation and service show it. "A mix of Italian and Pacific plates will keep us returning again and again. They also offer a complete vegetarian menu." -RM
This is chef Amy Ferguson-Ota's place. Known for illustrious stints as executive chef at a couple of the Kohala Coast's finest resorts, here she has perfected her imagination and ability to conjure original East-meets-West dishes from fresh local ingredients. Where to begin? An appetizer: steamed dumplings in ginger scallion sauce. A soup: spicy tamarind saifun noodle soup with seafood. A salad: crisp Thai chicken, rice vermicelli with sweet-sour fish sauce. An entrée: Kona-style wok seared or cooked ahi noodle casserole---and those are just for lunch. Dinner has lots more. Our suggestion is to go hungry and stay awhile. -Gayot Reviews
If you have never tasted Chef Amy Ferguson's food then you do not truly understand Pacific Rim Cuisine. Her culinary creations unabashedly borrow from European, Asian and American traditions fusing the freshest ingredients of Hawaii into combinations where taste is king and every note of the dish makes sense. Many dishes in Hawaiian 4 Star restaurants seem faked or forced. As if throwing Mac Nuts on top of wasabi makes you an innovator. Not so with Chef Amy's dishes. We sampled almost every dish at her restaurants over the years and we can honestly say we were always surprised and delighted. - Bev E.
It was a pleasure doing business with you! We loved your meals- everyone is still talking about it!! I will be happy to recommend you to anyone in the future, so feel free to use my name.. I will try to go on your website and post some great comments about you and your staff..... We arrived home safe and sound on Friday midday, but it has taken a couple days to get caught up on rest and mail, etc etc! Finally feeling back to normal.
Again, thank you so much, and when we return to the big island, I will definitely be calling you!!
